Conduct thorough research and analysis to stay informed on industry trends and best practices related to specialty credit products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that credit policies align with overall business goals and objectives. Review and update existing credit policies as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Identify and assess potential risks associated with specialty credit products and make recommendations for mitigation strategies. Provide guidance and support to underwriting teams on complex specialty credit transactions. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of credit policies and make recommendations for improvements. Communicate credit policies and guidelines to relevant stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and standards related to specialty credit products and ensure compliance in all policy development and implementation. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to credit policy writing to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Serve as a subject matter expert on specialty credit products and provide training and support to other team members as needed. Act as a liaison between underwriting teams and senior management to provide updates on policy changes and address any concerns or questions. Contribute to the company's mission of making home ownership possible for all by ensuring fair and responsible lending practices.
